Premier PDR was established in 2006 by Darin Crace who started his career in the industry back in 1996.

Before starting Premier PDR Darin worked for 3 years at a local dent company and then transitioned into traveling all over the United States, and abroad, subcontracting for other PDR companies repairing automobiles with hail damage from storms. At the end of the 2006 storm season, Darin decided it was time to be home permanently with his wife, young son, and baby girl. It wasn’t an easy transition to basically start from the ground up with starting a new business and supporting a family but family and steady home life for them outweighed the difficulties of building a business.

Darin has always strived to be the best at his skill of paintless dent repair and has aimed to build relationships, not just transactions, with each and every customer Premier PDR has serviced.

WHAT IS PDR

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is the art and highly detailed skill of repairing dents in metal, as well as aluminum, panels on automobiles, or basically, any metal surface that PDR would be a good candidate for repair. This method of repair is done by highly trained craftsman using specially designed tools and lighting to slowly massage the metal panel back into its original shape, without the use of conventional auto body repair methods, which required painting. Steel has a memory that we use to our advantage to help guide the deformed panel or surface back into its original shape. Sometimes the steel molecules will get stretched beyond what PDR is able to fix properly(yes, there is a limit to what PDR can fix). Repairing aluminum panels is a little more difficult as it does not have the same kind of memory steel has, therefore the repair process takes more time and patience, and will also affect the price of repairs. While the industry is still fairly young, great strides have been made in the advancement of education, training, tooling, and even the severity of damage that can be repaired. PDR is a very cost-effective and time-saving repair when it is the right option of repair; as well as being a “Green”, environmentally safe, alternative to conventional auto body repair methods.

Minor & Crease Dents

Minor/ Crease dents are the in-between area of door dings and extreme PDR. These types of dents are usually bigger damage than small door dings and most times will require certain parts of the vehicle to be removed and re-installed (R&I) to gain access for the repair. A well-trained eye and vehicle knowledge is a must to accurately determine if damage in this class is repairable using PDR or if traditional body shop methods would be the right option.

Extreme Dents

Top-tier talent and attention to detail combined with extensive vehicle build knowledge is key to doing this caliber of damage because this is where a line is drawn between PDR and a conventional body shop repair. PDR has evolved tremendously over the years and bigger damage that years ago would not have been possible is being fixed due to the advances in tooling, lighting, glue pulling, and even the strength of modern paints. As with minor/crease dents, these types of dents will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if the damage would be a candidate for PDR or would, again, need more traditional body shop methods of repairing.
